LKR-2
Ray and Charles, always striving for the best weight-strength ratio and the lowest possible cost, designed this upholstery option, which consumers liked to call the “Bikini Pad.” The upholstered wire chairs with two-piece upholstery cost 25% less than those with one-piece upholstery. LKR-2 stands for Low (height) K-wire (chair) Rod (base) 2 (2-piece upholstered pad).
Signed with a paper manufacturer’s label “Herman Miller Furniture Company Venice, California” on the underside of the shell.
