DSX-1
An example of the earliest upholstery in production on the Side Chair, this color is possibly Raw Umber Light and has a painted back—unique to the upholstered chairs. A wraparound system was developed to upholster the Side Chairs. Then the pads were held in place by wires concealed under the wrap around at the edges. DSX-1 stands for Dining (height) Side (chair) X (base) 1 (upholstered).
