Fiberglass Side Shell
The collection has several color-test samples from different fiberglass manufacturers. This test sample for the color Crimson reveals threaded screw holes and masking tape, suggesting this shell was used for prototyping a new idea.
A removed rectangular sticker, “SMC, Part B, TRB 1051–62” handwritten on a white rectangular sticker, an embossed Cincinnati Milling Machine Company logo (“C” with a six-pointed star), and an embossed Herman Miller logo and word mark are on the underside of the shell.
