Drawing of House

Ray once said she started drawing at the age of three and never stopped. She continued to develop as a graphic artist during her high school years, learning a range of subjects including fashion and architecture. As a teenager living in Sacramento, Ray made this drawing of a neighbor’s home. She depicted the Spanish Colonial–style house at a slight angle, so that the right side of the building is visible in addition to the front.
